I'm looking to buy a new M18 Fuel Hackzall with at least one battery and was wondering if anyone knows about any good deals out there right now. I've mostly been using M12 tools, so this will be my first M18 purchase. Not too long ago, this kit was hackable, and some folks got it for as low as $118 after returning an M18 fuel grinder. If you can wait a bit, there might be promotions where it comes with a free tool that’s hackable again.
I've been using the M12 Hackzall, and honestly, I prefer it. It's lighter and more compact, which makes it easier to handle for my projects. Just something to think about if you're used to the M12 series!
Amazon has had the tool-only version priced between $116 and $130 lately. I used one with a 6.0Ah battery to tackle an 8-inch diameter tree, and it held up like a champ! I paired it with a Diablo pruning blade, and it worked great for cutting up lots of limbs and composite boards. Just a great combo!
I found the same kit on waysource for around $200, but it doesn't come with the carbide blade. Just something to keep in mind! Check it out if you want a solid option without all the extras.
