Hey everyone! I'm working on my DIY battery power station that uses a JKBMS along with solar charging. I'm a bit confused about the wiring. I've seen setups where people connect the negative wire from the AC to DC charger directly to the P- on the BMS, and the positive wire to a positive bus bar linked directly to the battery with a fuse in between. Is it alright if I connect the P- from the BMS to a negative bus bar as well, so all my chargers connect through the bus bars? Any guidance would be awesome!

If your goal is just to charge the battery temporarily with plans to remove it later, you can connect it as you mentioned—positive to the bus bar and negative to the P-. However, if you’re looking for a more permanent setup, it's better to wire everything to the bus bars in your system. Just remember to connect the battery to the bus bars after any fuses, shutoffs, or shunts for safety purposes.
Just a heads up, if you hook the charger directly to the battery now, your BMS won’t be protecting you from overcharging, which could be risky in the long run.

Thanks for the tip!
