I recently picked up a succulent from my local grocery store, and while it's a great deal, I'm worried about one of its leaves that's showing some damage. Besides figuring out what type of succulent it is, I'd like to know how to care for it, especially since I'm planning to gradually introduce it to sunlight and possibly get a grow lamp. The care instructions that came with it don't seem trustworthy. Based on its current state, it actually looks pretty healthy! Any tips or advice for keeping it happy? Thanks a lot!

I’d echo what SucculentGuru47 said about light and watering! Since your pot doesn't have drainage, moving it to one that does should really help. Make sure the new pot is a good size for your plant; you want it to have space to grow, but not be too big. As for that leaf damage, it could be from overwatering or even impact if it was dropped before you got it. Keep an eye on it and give it some time to adjust after repotting. Repotting also gives you a chance to check for pests or any other issues. You’ve got this!
First off, identifying your plant is key! It looks like you might have a moonstone succulent, which is pretty popular. When it comes to care, check the drainage in your pot—if it doesn’t drain well, that can lead to problems since succulents don’t like sitting in soggy soil. Overwatering is a common issue, but it sounds like you haven't watered it yet, which is good! Just remember to let the soil dry out completely between waterings.
For light, acclimating your succulent to more sunlight gradually is a great idea to prevent burns. Start with bright, indirect light and gradually expose it to more direct sunlight. Good luck, and your little guy will thrive!
