What are some durable PWM charge controllers for outdoor use?

I'm looking for recommendations on PWM charge controllers that can withstand outdoor conditions but are placed under cover. I tried a cheaper model last winter, and it didn't hold up, so I'm hoping to find something more reliable this time around.

What kind of solar panel are you using? It's good to know how many amps you need it to handle, especially if you want to ensure it won't overcharge your battery. If you're using a 12V system, you might find some IP67 rated options that can handle around 5-6A. That should work pretty well for your needs.

It's just a makeshift system in the barn powering a fan and a boom box with a deep cycle flooded 12V battery. I definitely need it to prevent overcharging!

You might want to check out the Bogart Engineering 2030. It's well-regarded for its durability and performance. Perfect for outdoor setups!

Thanks, I'll look it up!
