Estimating Repair Costs for Water Leak in Ceiling

Hey everyone, I just discovered a leak in the ceiling of my guest bedroom after a recent rainstorm. While it's not flooding, I noticed water dripping in. I've reached out to my insurance to file a claim and get an estimate for the repairs, but I'm not really handy and could use some advice. How much do you think it might cost for a professional to fix this? I'd really appreciate any estimates or insights! Here's the issue: https://imgur.com/ypKWiAL and https://imgur.com/a/xiEVPRv

This could be a wide range of issues, from a simple loose nail to needing a full roof replacement. The picture doesn’t give too much info, and you'll probably need to check up on the roof directly to really see what's going on. Make sure to thoroughly inspect it before deciding on a fix.

It’s usually a good idea to have a contractor assess the damage first so you can get a proper quote. Just a heads up, using insurance can raise your premiums, so weigh that option carefully. If the fix is something minor like a loose nail or tile, you might not need to go through your insurance after all.
