Best Way to Cut Plywood Square with a Circular Saw

Hey everyone! I'm working on a project where I need to cut a sheet of plywood down to 70" x 46". It's going to serve as a template for cutting rubber mats for my home gym/garage. I'm a bit concerned about making the edges square enough so that the mats fit together properly when I lay them down. I've got a circular saw with a track saw guide and some basic framing tools. Any tips on how I can ensure the plywood is cut square? Thanks in advance!

A great technique is to use the 3-4-5 method to create a right triangle. Here's how: mark your cut line with a tick, then measure back 30" from your tick. From there, make an arc at 50" to where your line is, and go back to your initial tick mark. Measure and mark perpendicular to that 30" line, making an arc at 40". Where those arcs meet will give you a perfect square line! Just set your track saw along that line and you're good to go!

Thanks! That sounds really helpful! Just to clarify, should I do this method for both sides of the plywood, or can I rely on treating one side as already square?
