Should I Replace Old Insulation During My Bathroom Remodel?

Asked By CuriousFox99 On

I'm in the middle of remodeling my bathrooms, and I noticed that one of the external walls has some old insulation that looks pretty sketchy. Is it something I should worry about, or is it more of a 'replace it if it's convenient' kind of issue? I've shared a picture in the comments for reference.

If the wall is already open, I definitely recommend replacing that insulation. You'll probably regret not doing it later.

Honestly, there's no better time to replace insulation than when you're already remodeling. Since you're already planning to replace what's visible, I think it's a good call to go for it now before the wall gets closed up again!

I totally agree! Just want to make sure there aren’t any hazards involved with what’s currently there.

It can depend on your local climate, but if you’re unsure and the wall is open, replace it with rockwool for better insulation!
