We're in the process of replacing windows in two rooms of our house, and honestly, it hasn't been smooth sailing with the company we've hired, New Pro. Before hitting this snag, we faced some issues but felt stuck in our contract, so we proceeded anyway. Today, they came to install the windows, but after removing the first one, they realized they'd messed up the measurements and ordered the wrong size. Now we have to wait for the correct windows to be made and reschedule everything, which really stings since we're expecting a baby in a month and wanted this done before then, especially since one of the rooms is for the baby. Given that the windows were pricey and they measured twice—once during the initial quote and again by someone sent to confirm their measurements—this mistake has left us pretty frustrated. Should we ask them for a discount or some sort of compensation? What would you do in our situation? I'd really appreciate any advice or thoughts!

I get that it’s frustrating. You didn’t say how far off the measurements were, but at least they didn’t try to force a bad fit. The installer did the right thing by not putting in those incorrectly sized windows. That's a good sign, even if the company fell short.
Honestly, don't stress too much about it. It's just a window and a new one is on the way. Focus on welcoming your baby!

Yeah, I appreciated that too! The installer mentioned it was about 3 inches off on each side, which made it impossible to fit properly.
