Are 10-inch Drawer Slides Suitable for an 11-inch Drawer?

I recently got this dresser and the drawer slides that came with it are really frustrating—they keep falling off the track! I measured the old slides and they're 11 inches long, but I'm having a tough time finding 11-inch slides in stores. I'm not too keen on ordering them online, so I was wondering if I could use 10-inch ball bearing slides instead. Will that work, or should I keep looking for the 11-inch ones?

If you're really set on not shopping online, bring one of your old slides with you when you go to the store—that way you can compare them in person. Just a heads up: if you're willing to go up a bit, 12-inch slides could work too, but you'll need to check if they fit the other dimensions of your dresser as well.

You can definitely use 10-inch slides, but be aware that you won't get full extension, which might make it a hassle to get things in and out. It could work, but I'm curious—what kind of slides are you considering?

Yeah, they should fit, but keep in mind it might not match up perfectly with the existing holes. So, you'll need to make some adjustments. It’s also worth noting that most standard side-mount slides come in even sizes, so 11-inch slides might not really exist.
