Can Passion Fruit Thrive in Central Europe Without a Greenhouse?

Hey everyone! I'm getting into gardening, and I'm really excited about growing passion fruit since it's my favorite fruit. I live in Central/Southern Europe, specifically Central Slovenia, and I'm wondering if there's any type of passion fruit that can actually produce fruit outdoors without needing a greenhouse. I read that "Passiflora incarnata" (the Maypop) might be a good option, but I'd love to hear advice from anyone with actual experience!

The Maypop is a good choice for your climate, but just so you know, it doesn't produce the larger round fruit you're used to seeing in stores. Instead, you'll get smaller fruits known as granadillas. They're delicious in their own right! If your summers get hot enough and you have some pollinators around, you should be able to grow it without any major issues.

I totally get that! I'm familiar with granadillas, and honestly, they're quite tasty. I think that could be a great alternative for your garden!
