I'm facing a dilemma with my summer raspberry canes. They're all set to bear fruit this year but have been completely overshadowed by a neighbor's tree, which has resulted in poor yields in the past. I realize putting them there wasn't the best decision, so I'm thinking about relocating them to a sunnier area where I can provide better support. My main concern is whether I can successfully move these fully grown canes without cutting them back. Has anyone done this before? I know it's best to do it quickly, like this weekend!

Moving them could damage some, but don’t worry too much. They’ll probably settle down and be fine for next year. Just grab them with their soil and move one clump at a time. They’re quite hardy, and even if the crop is a bit smaller this year, it's worth the effort to start fresh!
Definitely do it soon! They should be just fine with the move.
Make sure to get as much of the root as you can to help boost this summer's harvest. They actually sell long canes to commercial growers, so it's totally possible!
From my experience, you really can't kill them! Whatever you decide to move should be just fine. Just be aware that you might not get every single one, leading to a couple of clusters of plants next year.
