I'm currently renovating my bathroom, but the project is getting delayed because it's been raining a lot lately. Apparently, it's going to rain for another week or so. I know this might sound silly, but is it typical for bathroom contractors to not work in the rain? I mean, I assumed they could do some tile cutting inside, but maybe there's a reason my contractor isn't working?

While it might not be ideal, I can tell you from experience that some contractors will cut tiles even if it’s raining. My bathroom renovation went ahead during a bit of rain, and they managed just fine.
Cutting tiles outside during rain isn’t typical for all trades, but it’s more common in certain situations. If you want your contractor to keep the work moving, maybe consider getting him a pop-up canopy to help him stay dry. You could offer to let him borrow it at a reduced price once he’s done if you don’t want to keep it yourself!
I actually have a pop-up tent! But he told me that the moment his socks get wet, he has to leave. I’m starting to think I might need to look for someone else.

That’s good to know! I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal but my contractor insists on stopping work. He mentioned he doesn’t want to risk anything.
