I've recently revamped my yard after years of neglect, and while it looks nice with my old rusty decor and some yard sale finds, a friend commented that it doesn't feel like me. I'm not exactly a tidy person, and my garden seems a bit too put together at the moment. I've just started planting and the vines aren't fully grown yet. Will the garden reflect my personality over time, or is there something more I can do to make it feel like 'me' right now?

If you enjoy your garden and love being in it, then it is already a reflection of you! Others might not get your vision, but it's your space and joy that counts. Just keep nurturing it the way you want, and in time, it will absolutely embody your personality!
To really make your garden feel like you, focus on planting what you genuinely love, not just what's trendy. Of course, your local climate matters, so go for native plants and see what thrives in your area. And remember, creating a wild, overgrown garden takes time—it doesn’t happen overnight. Gorgeous gardens usually take years to come together, so be patient with yourself and the process!
