Is Turning Potted Plants Daily Too Much Stress for Them?

I've noticed my roommate has this habit of turning our potted plants 180 degrees every single day, sometimes even twice! I'm curious if this is actually beneficial for the plants or if it's causing unnecessary stress as they struggle to adjust and face the sun.

I used to turn mine around a lot too, but I noticed they seemed less healthy after a while. Now I just make small adjustments every now and then, and they look much better!

I think your roommate might be overdoing it. I give mine a slight turn every few days, and that works just fine. Plants can handle some adjustment, but too much can stress them out.

Turning your plants is good, but doing it as frequently as your roommate does might be overkill. I usually rotate mine only when they start leaning towards the light, and they've been thriving for years. It's all about finding a balance!

That makes sense! My plants have been looking kinda droopy since my partner started their 'turning routine' too.
