What to Do After My Kid Flooded the Bathroom?

So, my wife was giving the kids a bath and zoned out for a bit. Meanwhile, my son decided to dump about two buckets of water all over the bathroom floor. It soaked through the flooring and even started dripping through a small hole in the ceiling of the ground floor! When I got home, there was still a little pool of water on that ceiling, so I took a look at it with my camera. By this morning, it looked like that water was gone, but I'm sure it's still damp up there. I put up some moisture-absorbing packets, but I can't fit much else in the hole. Plus, I placed some absorbent pads down, but they're completely dry. I'm wondering if there's anything else I can do without having to cut a bigger hole or get a heater in there. I plan to keep an eye on it for mold as well. Any suggestions?

Honestly, I’d just recommend cutting out the dry wall and drying everything properly, then patching it back up later. It might be a pain, but fixing it right from the start could save you more trouble down the line.

What do you mean by drywall? I was looking and it seems solid wood to me.
