Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on cutting pine branches into discs for a project I'm helping my wife with. I used to do some woodworking, but I'm a bit out of practice. Right now, I'm considering either a miter saw or a table saw, but I'm open to suggestions. What do you think is the easiest and fastest option for this task?

I'd recommend a band saw for this job. Just make sure to use a V block to keep the wood stable while you cut. It's a safer option, especially for round pieces, and gets the job done nicely! Plus, if you're looking for smooth surfaces, you might also want to think about getting a stationary disc or belt sander to finish them off nicely.

Totally agree with the band saw suggestion! It seems like the safest bet and you're right about the sander for smoothing things out.
