Hey everyone, I just discovered three sprigs of mares tail in my garden—one near the edge and two by my shed. I immediately pulled them up and sprayed the area with soapy vinegar (I know this isn't super strong, but it was all I had since I avoid using herbicides). I'm anxious about it spreading, so I'm looking for the best ways to manage this before it overtakes my garden! Any tips?

The best move is to keep pulling those sprigs up whenever you see them and try to get a good grip on the roots. This plant has been around forever, so it can be tough to get rid of completely! Also, don't compost them; just toss them in the trash to prevent re-growing. If you keep at it, you can weaken it over time!
