Hey everyone! I have some extra seeds (cucumbers, zucchini, and herbs) and I'm wondering if it's too late to sow them directly into the soil here in Zone 5b in Wisconsin. Any thoughts?

Actually, I'd say it's still early. The soil should be around 60 degrees for those seeds to really germinate well. If the soil's too cold, they could just rot. Here's a useful link for soil temperatures if you're interested!
Nope, it's definitely not too late! You can still plant those seeds if you want to make use of them. Just keep an eye on the weather and soil temps!
Amazing. Thank you!
You might want to check the seed packets for the days to maturity. As long as you have enough time before the average first frost hits, you'll have a decent shot at a harvest!
Don’t you mean avg last frost at this point?

I’m learning so much this year from communities like this. Thank you for sharing.
