Recommendations for Tall, Easy-to-Manage Plants in a Shady Patio Planter

I've recently constructed a patio and a raised planter in a shaded corner of my garden. I'm looking for suggestions on tall, big plants that are easy to care for. Since this area doesn't receive much sunlight, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Have you considered Fatsia japonica? They have a wonderful jungly appearance and thrive in shade, making them perfect for your setup!

Ooh I like these! I’m thinking of adding a couple of tall ones with these in between. Do you know what kind of soil I should use for the planter, or if I need to do anything special for drainage?

If you're open to flowers, foxgloves could be a great choice. They can grow tall and come in a variety of colors, plus they're quite content in shaded areas!

I’m looking for something more like these tall options. Just something that can live outside easily and not be too much work.
