Can You Grow Roses from the Seeds in Cut Blooms?

I'm curious if I can plant the seeds I found inside the petals of a cut rose bouquet. I used the petals for potpourri, and now I'm left with these seeds. Since they were cut flowers, I know growing from rose hips isn't an option, but is there any chance these seeds can sprout?

Unfortunately, the seeds from cut roses aren’t likely to be viable. They usually won’t have matured enough to germinate since the flowers were cut. If you're interested in growing roses, cuttings might be a better option for you!

That’s interesting—those little bits do look like seeds! I thought it might be a long shot, but I’ll definitely try the cuttings instead!

You could actually try using rose cuttings! A friend of mine took cuttings from a rose bouquet a few years back and now has two beautiful rose bushes in their garden. Check out some guides on how to take rose cuttings if you're interested!

That's awesome to hear! Sounds easier than starting from seeds—thanks for sharing!
