I'm really struggling with tying knots and have just been using a basic knot to secure my tomato plants. However, I've heard there are better techniques out there for supporting them. Does anyone know what those techniques or specific knots might be?

I like using bamboo stakes and just tie my tomatoes to them with pipe cleaners. It's really simple and works great!
Just a heads up: when tying your tomatoes, make sure the ties aren't too tight so the stems can thicken up as they grow. You might need to adjust them as they get bigger.
I actually use rolls of green Velcro tape meant for gardening. It’s super handy as I can reuse it every season, and it eliminates the whole knot situation!
Honestly, there's no specific knot you absolutely need to use. The main thing is just to support the tomatoes properly. Sometimes, it's not even necessary to tie them up at all, depending on their growth.

That sounds really useful! I'll have to try that Velcro tape.
