Can I Connect My Reverse Osmosis System to My Fridge?

Hey everyone! I just got a Waterdrop G3P-600 for my new place, and I'm wondering if I can connect its output to my fridge. The fridge is on the other side of the room from the sink. Waterdrop has a pressure tank that supports runs up to 16 feet, but I'm unsure how to set it up given my layout. Here are my options:

Option A: I could run a line from the basement near the water main to the fridge, but the issue is there's no nearby drain; the nearest one is far across the basement. I could run a drain line up to a bucket to empty it when it fills up.

Option B: I could run it from the sink, but the line would be exposed since the fridge isn't next to any cabinetry. I'd have to figure out whether to run it along the floor or the ceiling.

Any suggestions on how best to do this? Thanks!

You could definitely run a line from the RO unit down to the basement and then across to the fridge. Just make sure to plan for any bends or rises in the line to keep the pressure up!

I think this might work! I’ll check it out once I move in. Thanks for the suggestion!

I have my RO system set up to my fridge and also a sink faucet across the room. It’s all in the basement, and I didn’t need an extra pump for it!

Thanks! Just curious, where does your RO system drain to?
