Hey everyone! After a few weeks of dealing with work stress, I was hoping to unwind in my garden, but today it's a different story. Everything seems to be struggling due to the drought and chilly nights. Aphids are everywhere, and my lawn looks like a mess of brown with tall weeds popping up. My poor cosmos seedlings don't look like they're going to make it much longer. Do any of you ever feel this way? Am I just turning into a cranky middle-aged person or is this a normal part of gardening?

You're definitely not alone! I've had days where I just feel totally drained and overwhelmed by my garden too. Between the wind, cool temps, and everything feeling like a chore, it can get really discouraging. Sometimes it's best to just take a break—grab a cup of tea and relax a bit.
It’s such a common feeling, especially after a rough spell. I try to focus on little wins instead of getting bogged down by the big picture. Today, I saw a busy bee working on my foxgloves and it really lifted my mood! Don't worry too much about the rest—enjoy the small successes and give yourself some grace. Put the kettle on and take it easy!
Ah, I get it! Last year was tough for me too, and I actually stepped back from gardening completely for a while. Gave myself permission to not stress about it and just let it go. This year, though, I'm back at it and loving it! Remember, it's totally fine to take breaks when you need them. You deserve some rest!

I totally feel you. My peony got smashed by a branch from the wind! It's frustrating.
