I'm throwing my 3-year-old's birthday party in our backyard in New York in a few weeks. The party will be in the afternoon, but we typically deal with a lot of mosquitoes because there's some standing water due to bad drainage in the yard. I'd love to find effective ways to minimize their presence for about three hours, especially since we've tried using Thermacells in the past, and while they work okay in smaller areas, our yard is about 2000 square feet and requires something more powerful. Any suggestions?

A great way to keep mosquitoes away is to set up some fans around your backyard. Mosquitoes aren’t great flyers, so a good breeze can really help. If you have multiple fans, spread them out to create airflow throughout the area. Just be cautious if you're in a windy area already; it might not guarantee a mosquito-free zone there!

Totally! That makes sense, but where I live, even with a coastal breeze, mosquitoes still seem to find me. Hopefully, it works better where you are!
