Hey everyone! I recently got a Dewalt 6 1/4" battery-powered circular saw, and I've run into a problem: it's always binding during cuts. It worked fine for the first three uses on a fully supported 3/4" sheet of plywood, but now even when I try to cut 1/2" plywood or 1/4" MDF, it binds up right after I start the cut. I'm using a fully charged battery, so I'm pretty baffled by this issue. Any tips to resolve it?

Hey! Make sure you're pushing the saw straight while cutting. If you tilt it even slightly, the blade can bind. This is especially easy to do if you’re trying to cut one-handed!

I'm using a level as a guide, so I think I'm pushing it straight. I’ve got a 5Ah battery that came with it, but could the 8Ah battery affect the performance? I chose this model because I'm left-handed and found it easier to handle than the corded version.
