I'm new to being a plant owner and I've recently noticed that the tips of my Bella Palm are turning brown. I water the plant only when the soil feels dry, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm not checking it properly. The plant does get light throughout the day, though it might be on the low side. I sometimes put it outside on the balcony for a few hours when the sun is shining to give it a bit more light. To prevent spider mites, I spray the leaves every couple of days. I live in South-Western Ontario, Canada. Am I making any mistakes with my care routine?

Sounds like you're doing okay overall, but maybe consider reducing how often you spray the leaves. Too much moisture can lead to issues. Just make sure it's getting enough indirect light, especially for the majority of the day. Giving it a break from direct sun for a bit longer might help with those brown tips.
Make sure you're checking the soil deeper than just the top layer. It’s important to feel a couple of inches down – sometimes the surface can feel dry while it’s still moist below. Also, what kind of spray are you using on the leaves? When you take your palm outside, it’s good that it’s only in direct sunlight for a few hours to prevent stressing it out. Just keep an eye on how it reacts to that light too.
