I'm considering mounting a large TV above my closet doors, but I'm not sure if the space is suitable since it looks hollow up there. Ideally, I want a mount that allows me to pull the TV down when I want to use it and then put it away when I'm done. I'm also seeing options for ceiling mounts that fold and are motorized. Any advice on the best way to do this?

You might be able to use heavy-duty toggle bolts with a pivotable mount, but keep in mind that it’s a bit risky. Most mounts really want you to secure them into wall studs. If you're planning on a larger TV, like anything over 32 inches, I wouldn't recommend taking that chance.
There are pull-down mounts that could work well for you! However, an AV cart on wheels might be a better option. You’ll have a more comfortable angle for viewing, which is good for your neck and back. It might be worth considering!
Thank you! I love these mounts. It seems to be exactly what I need. Any videos on how to wire everything professionally? And how to install those mounts?
