I've experienced some issues with Milwaukee M12 batteries. Out of the many I've owned, usually they last pretty well, but I recently bought a couple of 5.0 and 2.5 versions, and I've already had one with both tabs broken off and two others with one tab broken. It feels like this could be a manufacturing flaw since they haven't been abused in any way. However, I'm worried about their warranty process. I've heard they're quick to claim 'abuse' and refuse warranty claims. Has anyone else had experience with sending these batteries in for warranty? I'm really hoping I won't end up paying to get my broken batteries back just because they said it was 'user error.'

Honestly, I've had a tough time getting Milwaukee to honor their battery warranties. Every time I tried, they denied my claims. It's really frustrating because I feel like their design issues shouldn't be on us to deal with. I've actually held off on buying new Milwaukee tools because I'm not sure they'll back up their products anymore. Just my two cents!
I think taking a shot at them for warranty claims could be worth it. Batteries are pretty simple to fix, so if you can handle a repair, it might be an option. But keep in mind the shipping costs and time without your battery. If they've been faulty, they should cover it without making you jump through hoops.
