Did I Just Water My Plants with Lemonade? What Now?

So, I woke up from a nap around 10 pm and went into the kitchen without turning on the lights. I saw what I thought was a half pitcher of water from earlier. Thinking it was a perfect time to water my houseplants on the windowsill, I used it. After I poured it, I noticed a strong lemon smell and realized I accidentally watered my plants with Crystal Light lemonade I made for guests earlier. Are my plants doomed? What should I do?

I'd recommend watering your plants again with regular tap water. Make sure to let the excess drain out completely. This will help prevent any potential mold issues. If your plants have drainage holes, a good rinse should be all they need. If not, you might want to think about repotting them tomorrow. Hope they’re okay!

Have you seen the movie 'Idiocracy'? It’s hilarious and kinda relates to what happened. But on a serious note, your plants should be alright. Crystal Light doesn’t have much sugar, just some amino acids, so any mold might be short-lived.
