I recently bought a Milwaukee 49-16-2719 hedger as part of a huge OPE kit from HF. Unfortunately, the hedger attachment jammed up after only 7 minutes. I tried using a screwdriver to free the blades, but they didn't seem to be bound up at all. The whole kit is less than two weeks old, and I'm concerned about having to wait a month for warranty service. Is it unreasonable to consider taking it back to Home Depot for an exchange? Or do you guys know of any tricks or tips to unjam it? The powerhead works fine with my other attachments, and I've ensured the hedger attachment is fully inserted. I was using it to cut some prickers and it was powered by a new, fully charged 12ah Forge.

Have you figured out what exactly jammed it? Is there still something stuck in there, or did it just stop working mid-cut? Sometimes that can give you clues on how to fix it.
I think your best bet would be to go to Home Depot and ask for an exchange. They typically let you swap out the whole kit instead of just the hedger. Just be prepared to rebox everything, which is a hassle.
Did you remember to add some oil before using it? Sometimes it helps to lubricate the blades a bit. The attachment can come with a sheen, but a little extra oil might prevent jams in the future.
I didn't add any oil, thinking it was ready to go right out of the box.

Ugh, reboxing all that is going to be such a pain. It came with multiple attachments!
