My GoalZero 1250 Runs Out of Juice Too Fast! Any Tips?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to use a GoalZero 1250 power station for my camping trips, but I'm having a tough time. I charge it up fully, and then it dies on me after about an hour, even when I only have a simple fan plugged in that's drawing just 35 watts. I'm really hoping to keep the fan running all night, but it's not happening right now. I'm borrowing this unit, so I can't replace the batteries, and I'm a bit tight on money for buying my own. I'm using the wall charger to charge it, and I do have solar panels, but I'd like some advice on how to possibly cycle the battery or boost its capacity. Thanks!

Honestly, the GoalZero 1250 is getting a bit old and it's equipped with lead acid batteries, which aren’t the best at holding a charge, especially if they haven’t been maintained well. It’s pretty easy to damage lead acid batteries, and if this one has been sitting around fully drained, that could be affecting its performance. I wouldn't recommend investing too much time or money into refurbishing it since there are better solutions out there.

Yeah, I heard lead acid batteries need to be kept charged regularly. Storing them dead can really shorten their lifespan! Maybe trying to keep it plugged in when not in use could help.
