We're about to welcome our second baby, which means we'll need to turn our guest room into a nursery. Since we have family coming in from out of town, I want to find a comfortable bed solution for them in our basement. An air mattress won't work since my mom is older and comfort is a top priority. Does anyone have suggestions for a cozy bed option that isn't a typical air mattress?

I've got a great setup for you! We use a folding 4" memory foam mattress on twin metal frames. It's super comfy, easy to set up, and no need for blowing anything up. It's perfect for overnight stays and packs away easily when not in use!
Have you thought about using a fold-out sofa? You can swap the standard mattress with a better one. I’ve heard it can make a big difference in comfort!
That's a solid idea! I never thought about switching out the mattress. Thanks!
You might want to consider a Murphy bed! We installed one in our spare bedroom, which also serves as a craft room. It's super convenient since we just fold it out for guests when needed. We got ours at Costco, and it works great for us!

That sounds perfect! I'm definitely looking for something easy to store.
