Are Cedar Closets a Good Investment?

I'm in the process of installing a closet in my basement where the climate seems fine, and I'm curious about the benefits of lining it with cedar. I've never really seen a moth in my home before, so I'm wondering if it's worth the effort and expense to go the cedar route. What do you all think?

Absolutely, I’d say go for it! Especially in a basement where the air can get a bit musty. Cedar has a nice smell and it’s not too pricey. We installed it in our basement and later moved it to our master closet – we loved the aroma it brought!

Fair point! Did you use cedar planks or plywood? Also, do you sand it occasionally to keep that fresh smell?
