Tips for Caring for My Plants While I’m Away for 10 Days

I'm heading out of town for 10 days, and I'm a bit anxious about what to do with my plants. I've decided to leave my peace lilies with a friend since they're a bit more delicate. However, I'm concerned about my smaller monsteras. They might not hold up well on their own for that long. What strategies do you all use to keep your plants alive while you're away?

You can use clear trash bags to help retain moisture. Just close them up tightly, and they should keep your plants happy for about 2-3 weeks. If a pot is too big to fit, that’s fine—usually, they can manage on their own without any extra help.

That sounds smart! Do you recommend watering them before sealing them up?

One great tip is to move your plants to a darker room! The less sunlight they get, the less water they'll need, which helps keep them moist for a longer period. Just remember to shift them away from the windows to minimize their water consumption.

Haha, I try to remember that too, but I can't help but keep them close to the light! It’s a balancing act, right?
