Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on a 12V 120Ah LFP battery from a family member who knows I'm into solar energy and DIY projects. I'm not really sure how to utilize it, though! Ideally, I'd love to use it as backup power for my essential electronics during outages, or even turn it into a portable power supply. However, I typically have a micro inverter setup, and I'm not quite sure how to get everything working together. I'd really appreciate any ideas or suggestions on how to make the most out of this battery! What would you guys do with it?

If you really want to go big, consider buying a few more batteries like this one to set up a more extensive system. It’d be great for peak shaving and automatic backup power, which sounds like it could meet your needs! Just make sure to figure out the right inverter to support everything you plan to do.
A solid option is to snag a used inverter charger. This way, you can plug it into the wall to charge it with your excess solar energy during the day. Then, you can run your essential electronics off it whenever you need. If you’re looking for portability, check out some DIY videos on how to mount it on a utility dolly—those can work really well!
That's a good idea! What’s involved in getting a 120V output from this? Just a simple inverter, or do I need to focus on a pure sine wave inverter since it's LFP?

Haha, exactly! I was thinking the same thing, but I've got no clue what inverter would be the best fit. That sounds awesome if I can set it up right!
