Is It Normal for M18 High Impact Battery Terminals to Wiggle?

I just got my hands on a brand new M18 high impact tool, and I've noticed that the battery terminals are pretty wiggly right out of the box. With the battery attached, the tool works fine, but I've never seen the actual terminals be this loose before. I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this with the same model and if it's considered normal?

Yep, that wiggle is actually pretty normal for this model. It's one of the first that has the new battery dampening design, which honestly means there's even more wiggle than usual. It's designed this way to protect the battery from impact forces. You should be good to go!

Totally normal! I've got the same tool and the terminals wiggle just like you described. It almost feels like the battery might just fall off, which is a bit concerning. The design isn't my favorite either, but I've learned to live with it.

I hear you! It's definitely a weird design choice. Just makes you feel uneasy when you're using it!
