I noticed that May has come and gone, and I'm still on the lookout for the DCD806 hammer drill along with other tools mentioned in the recent press release. Acme Tools shows a price of $199 with a delivery date set for mid-June, but that sounds more like a preorder to me. I can't even find a 'coming soon' listing on Amazon or Home Depot. Does anyone know if the DCD806 has actually made it to Georgia yet? Any updates on its distribution or an adjusted timeline for GA?

I've been waiting for the 801 to drop instead. The 806 is a bit of a mystery—I just hope DeWalt starts shipping better! It’s frustrating to see all these hype announcements and delays.
The DCD806 is expected to ship on June 16, 2025. You can check details [here](https://www.toolnut.com/dewalt-dcd801b-20v-max-xr-brushless-cordless-1-2-in-drill-driver-tool-only-2.html). The wait continues!
Not sure why they’d even release the 806 with the 1007 already out there. I have both the 800 and 1007, and it’s hard to see the appeal of the 806, especially since most drillers only need one decent hammer drill. The 805 is already a solid choice if you don’t need heavy-duty power.
Totally get that! The 805 is pretty versatile without being overkill. But the 806 just adds that anti-rotation feature, which could be useful for some folks.

Right? They keep pushing back their timeline. Maybe they should rethink their product launches based on actual availability. It's becoming a trend.
