I recently built a coffee table and plan to finish it with Rubio Monocoat in smoke 5%. I'm wondering if it's alright to overlap the application. Specifically, if I finish the top first and let it dry, can I then go back and finish the legs or underside? I'm a bit worried that if I accidentally get some on the legs while applying the top, it might not blend well once it dries. Will there be a noticeable line between the areas finished at different times? I'm trying to decide whether I need to bother taping things off or not!

No need to stress about taping off! Rubio MonoCoat bonds to the wood fibers without bonding to itself, which means that if any product accidentally gets on the previously coated part, just wipe it off. You're good to go! Let me know if you have any more questions!
Applying Rubio is super straightforward! Just do a test piece to ensure you love the color, and ensure you’re mixing it right. Make sure there’s no leftover glue on the wood, and you should achieve a great finish without any issues.
Good info. Thank you!
Rubio Monocoat is designed to be a non-lapping finish, which means you can apply it to different areas at different times without worrying about any clear lines or color mismatches. Just apply it carefully and you'll be fine!
Thank you!
