Hey everyone! I'm looking at getting a new dryer (LG RH90V9AV3N) that has dimensions of 600x850x660, while my current washing machine (LG F4WR3511S0W) measures 600x850x565. I'm wondering if I can safely stack the dryer on the washer despite the depth difference. We really can't go for a side-by-side setup due to space constraints. Would a stacking kit be enough to make this work? Any advice would be much appreciated!

Most dryers actually come with brackets to secure them onto compatible washers. Those brackets are designed for shallower machines, so you should be fine stacking them! Be sure to check the manual for your model; it usually has a guide for proper setup.

It's really important to use a stacking kit when putting a dryer on top of a washer. Honestly, I don't think you'll find a kit that works for those two specific models, so it's probably better to avoid it altogether unless you want the risk of the dryer falling off. It could create a messy situation, especially if it falls on someone!
Stacking two appliances that weren't meant to be stacked can be risky—especially with all the vibrations they create during cycles. If you don't have a solid structure to support the dryer above the washer, it could lead to some serious issues. There are specially designed washer/dryer combos that are safer if you're open to that option; they usually cost more but come with extra materials for stability.
