Why is there a warm spot under my kitchen tile?

I've lived in my house for nearly three years, and after replacing the Formica with porcelain tiles in the kitchen, I've noticed a warm spot in one area. At first, it was just a slight warmth that rarely showed up, but now it's become much more noticeable and feels warm almost all the time. I'm a bit worried about what could be causing this, especially since we didn't change any plumbing when we renovated, though we did add another washer and dryer in the laundry room next to the kitchen. Should I be concerned?

I agree, it's probably a hot water line leaking. It's best to get it checked out sooner rather than later. It could also potentially be an electrical issue, and those kinds of problems really won’t fix themselves. Better safe than sorry!

It sounds like you might have a leaking hot water line under there, especially since you're on a slab foundation. If those lines are buried beneath the floor, they could be causing the warmth you're feeling. The alternative is that you're unintentionally opening a portal to another dimension, but I’d definitely lean towards the plumbing issue. It's definitely something to look into!
