Are Poisoned Aphids Dangerous to Ladybirds and Bees?

I recently used 'Provanto Insecticide Ultimate Bug Killer' on my broad beans. I want to start using ladybirds to help with pest control in the future, but I'm worried about whether the insecticide that was sprayed on the plants or the dead aphids could harm the ladybirds and bees that might visit the plants. Will they be safe?

Absolutely, you should be cautious. The insecticide can harm any insects that visit your plants, including ladybirds and pollinators like bees. It’s best to give it some time before introducing ladybirds, as it could take weeks for the toxic substances to break down enough to be safe for them.

Yes, definitely—using poison on your plants can affect all sorts of beneficial bugs. Plus, any birds that eat those poisoned aphids could also suffer. If you’re having issues with pests, consider using natural solutions like washing the plants off with water instead.

Yes, spraying insecticides will likely poison any ladybirds and bees that come into contact with your plants. If you want to attract beneficial insects like ladybirds in the future, it’s better to use natural pest control methods instead of chemical sprays.
