Is $3300 a Fair Price for Weed Removal in the Bay Area?

Hey folks! I need some advice on weed removal in my backyard. We've had our home for about two years now, and keeping up with the weeds has been a real struggle. We finally decided to hire a company to tackle this job since it's gotten out of hand. They quoted us $3300 for a two-day job, with two workers at around $100 per hour each. The yard is pretty large, and there are a lot of weeds, but I was hoping to spend closer to $2k. Is this quote reasonable? Can anyone share what they've paid for similar services around here? The company seems reputable, but I'm unsure if I should seek more estimates. Thanks a lot!

I agree with others who said this price seems a bit high. You should probably get a couple more quotes before deciding. It can help you feel more confident that you're getting a fair deal. Plus, the company might have different rates than what you were quoted!

For real! I’m redoing my whole yard and only spending about $5k, including some additional landscaping effects. You might find local help that's cheaper!

The price definitely sounds steep unless your yard is huge. Can you share how big your backyard is? For two guys working with professional equipment, it could mean you have several acres if they need two whole days to finish. Let’s see a few pictures if you can!

Yeah, and what kind of weeds are we dealing with? Are they just pulled by hand, or are they using herbicides? It makes a difference!

Yeah, I think you should definitely get more quotes. This sounds pretty pricey for just weeding. If you’re able, maybe even look into hiring some local kids to help out! It could save you a lot.
