How do you manage your plant watering schedules?

I'm really interested in how everyone keeps up with their plant watering routines. I currently have over 15 plants, including tropicals, succulents, and herbs, and honestly, it feels like a part-time job just trying to remember who needs water and when. I've tried everything from sticky notes to calendar reminders and even categorizing my plants by watering needs, but I still end up forgetting some (RIP to my calathea last month!). Is there an app or a system that works for you long-term without feeling like just another chore? I'm also curious if anyone's using smart plant tracking tools!

I set aside Wednesdays and Sundays as my plant care days, which helps me stay on top of things. I have about 50 plants, each with different water needs, so having those dedicated days means I can give each of them a good look without feeling overwhelmed. I also have different zones for my plants, which makes it easier to focus on a few at a time. That way, they all get extra care about twice a month!

I actually use two apps called Planta and Greg to keep track of my watering schedules. They send reminders and help you remember when to water each plant based on their specific needs. It makes plant care feel a bit easier!

I mark on my calendar every time I water the plants that prefer to dry out, like my ZZ and succulents. I don't stick to a strict schedule but I check on them often which works out pretty well! Just helps me keep track of when each plant got watered without feeling overwhelmed.

I don't really have a structured system. I just try to water my plants whenever they look like they need it, which means checking them regularly. Every few days, I grab a watering jug, sometimes mix in fertilizers, and check which plants might need some attention. It’s a bit haphazard, and yeah, things can slip my mind, but that’s what works for me! Not super helpful, but it’s what I do. Hope you find something that clicks for you!

Thanks for sharing! I'll definitely try checking them more regularly!
