Hey everyone! I'm not really into gardening, but I'm hoping to get some advice from you wonderful folks. My parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year, and they've recently started taking an interest in their garden. They're only using potted plants and planters due to mobility issues, so I thought it would be nice to gift them a personalized terracotta love bird pot along with a rose that commemorates their anniversary. However, I'm not sure if a rose will do well in a pot or if it's a manageable option for them. Can someone share if a rose can thrive in a pot, what size pot they should use, and how easy it would be for them to maintain? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I figure out this gift! Sending you all love!

Roses thrive really well in pots! Just make sure to look for a ‘patio rose’ variety since other types can grow too big. This way, they'll have a beautiful plant that’s easier to manage in a pot.

Thank you! I found a patio version of the Golden Anniversary Rose—would that be more suitable for the pot?
