Best Dark Gray Paint Options for Bathroom Tile: Seeking Recommendations

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on painting tile in my bathroom. I've got about 180 square feet to cover, and I'm set on using Extreme Bond Primer as the base. However, I need some help deciding on the right paint. I'm aiming for a dark gray, specifically anthracite. I've checked out a few paint shops like Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams, but I've gotten a lot of mixed feedback. Here's what I've gathered: 1) Acrylic paint is moisture-resistant, but I've heard that the heat from showers might cause it to give off harmful fumes. 2) Interior acrylic paint is water-based and non-toxic, though I'm concerned it might peel if exposed to a lot of water. 3) Exterior acrylic paint is tough against water and temperature changes, but it's designed for outdoors, not indoors. What do you all think? Any recommendations? Also, I want to take advantage of Sherwin-Williams' 40% off sale from June 6–9, so ideally, I need to decide soon!

I totally feel you on this! Painting tile can be tricky, especially in a bathroom. If your tiles are glazed, they can be really hard to paint because of the smooth surface. You might want to look into what’s used for tub and tile reglazing, as they have products specifically for that. Lowes has a decent section on it that might help you find something more suitable than regular wall paint.

I remodeled my powder room and used Sherwin-Williams Iron Ore. It's a dark gray that looks fantastic! I posted some pics if you want to check them out. I did find it adheres well to the tile, but make sure you prep properly for the best results!

Those pics look great! Did you do any special treatment to the tiles before painting?
