I'm new to painting and just started with primer. I'm struggling to apply it evenly, and I keep getting brush marks along with some color still showing through. Is there a technique I should follow, or should I apply it thicker to cover better? I want to avoid drips while still achieving a smooth finish. Any advice?

It's common for primer to look uneven initially—don't stress if it seems messy! If you're going from a dark to a light color, you might need a couple of coats to get good coverage. Just use a quality brush and a size that holds enough primer to ease the process. Remember that primer’s job is to create a good surface for the paint to bond, so it doesn’t need to look perfect right away!
