Can a Beginner Build a DIY Smart Ring with Buttons and Bluetooth?

Hey everyone! I'm new to electronics and I'm exploring a fun project idea: creating a smart ring that has a couple of buttons and a microphone. My plan is for it to connect via Bluetooth and trigger actions like starting a voice interaction with an AI or sending notes automatically. I want it to be small and discreet, not overly fancy. I found a similar product on Kickstarter but I'd prefer to go the DIY route instead. I'm asking for your thoughts on whether this is realistic for someone like me who knows programming but is a total newbie in hardware. Any tips on components, where to buy them, potential hurdles, and recommended resources would be super helpful! Thanks a lot!

Honestly, jumping into a project like this can be quite a leap for a beginner. You’re certainly biting off a lot if you want a fully functioning smart ring right off the bat. But if you're willing to learn as you go, I say go for it! Make sure you familiarize yourself with basic electronics first; that’ll help you grasp the project better. You might want to start with simpler projects to build your confidence before tackling the ring. If you're putting in the time and effort, it can be done!

Appreciate the encouragement! I'll definitely start with simpler builds to get the hang of things before diving into the ring. Thanks for the advice!
