I've been having some issues with my soldering iron lately, and I suspect it might not be reaching the correct temperature. It's adjustable, so I want to know how to test its heat accuracy. Any advice on how to do this?

You can use a digital multimeter (DMM) with a temperature probe if you have one. Just make sure it’s compatible with the temperature range you need for soldering. This will give you a pretty accurate reading of the temperature your iron is actually reaching!
If you don’t have a temperature probe, you can try using solder with a specific melting point to see if it melts at the expected temperature. Just be cautious with this method, as it’s not as precise as using a DMM.
