Hey folks, I'm considering picking up an M18 fan and I've heard some chatter about the Packout version having better airflow. Do you think it's worth spending an extra $50 for the Packout model? Also, do these fans go on sale often, particularly for batteries or extra tools?

The Packout one is currently on sale for $99, which isn’t too bad considering you get better airflow. Just heads up, it's a ship-to-store only deal, so check if there's a store near you. If not, it might not be worth it.
I own both versions, and honestly, the base of the Packout is a bit bulky. I’d recommend sticking with the regular model, it's cheaper too! Just a heads up though: I've had issues with the fan blades breaking off occasionally. If you find a place for replacements, let me know!
Honestly, airflow is key, but I've used a few fans, and volume can vary. My Ryobi air cannon blows the M18 out of the water in terms of airflow. But if you're just using it for camping and don’t need the extra power, the regular M18 could be fine for those hot nights. Just something to think about!
