My wife and I are having a bit of a disagreement about our updated bathroom. We just finished renovating it and I'm sharing a link to the images here: https://imgur.com/a/z9amRQi. We're wondering if this kind of update would actually increase the resale value of our home. One of us thinks it turned out well with a nice warm-tone look, while the other feels it comes off as cheap. I'd love to hear your thoughts and reasons!

For me, the accent tile bands look a bit cheap, to be honest. I see a lot of high-end homes as a GC and the mismatch here just doesn’t cut it. If it were me, I would replace the gold fixtures with something more cohesive and maybe go for a simpler tile look throughout. Overall, I don’t think this update would boost the value at all.
I’d say it looks like a typical remodel from the past decade—it’s not exactly high-end or low-end. If your bathroom doesn't need a refreshing, the update might not add any value beyond its cost. So, if you're not selling soon, maybe it’s not worth worrying about too much.
I see potential but would suggest some changes! Swap that gold faucet and shower for matching ones. Also, consider upgrading the lighting—something less builder-grade would help. Those little updates can be done in a weekend, and shouldn’t cost more than $1000. It’ll make a big difference!
It really depends on when you plan to sell your house. Personally, I'm not a fan of that look. The gold faucet doesn't go with the shower, and honestly, gold fixtures can sometimes make a bathroom feel like something from a budget hotel. But hey, maybe just swapping out the faucet could elevate things?

True! Gold can be nice if it's a high-end finish, but in a budget remodel, it often looks out of place.
